Most students who attend these “Include schools” hold an education, health and care plan (EHCP) and a high proportion have identified social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. With an emphasis on transition and re-engagement back into mainstream education or employment, Include schools support vulnerable young people aged four to 16 with challenging behaviour to realise their full potential and achieve academic and vocational targets.

Catch22’s ethos is based around the 3Ps; the idea that to thrive students need good people around them, a safe place to live and a purpose in life. Many of our students lack one or more of these, and their complex behaviours are a manifestation of difficult life experiences and traumas. That’s why support is centred not just around the student themselves, but their surrounding people and environment, too. We aim to foster a relationship with the student’s family built on trust and mutual respect to understand and tackle their child’s barriers to education, both in and out of school, and support them in achieving positive outcomes.
