The charity, which last week issued a report on the extent of theproblem, said the Government must do more to help the 1.3m childrenthought to be affected.
Turning Point's chief executive Lord Victor Adebowale said: "TheGovernment has started helping children affected by their parents' drugmisuse but we estimate there are five times as many children affected byparental alcohol misuse."
In its Bottling It Up report, Turning Point argues that treatmentprogrammes should be linked to efforts to stop anti-social behaviour bychildren whose parents drink too much.
The charity also wants a duty placed on local authorities requiring themto develop local strategies on parental alcohol abuse.
