Activity ideas: Places to go - Malvern

1 min read
The Malvern Hills cover 4,500 acres of open countryside spread across the three counties of Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Gloucestershire. The hills are a great place for youth groups who want to explore the natural environment. Local attractions include the Ravenshill Woodland Reserve, which has nature trails and is free to visit.

Other attractions include Eastnor Castle, a lavishly decorated castle that boasts a deer park and children's maze. Or head to Witley Court to visit the ruins of a once vast 19th century house. The secrets of the house are revealed on an atmospheric tour and you can dance to music in the ballroom.

To burn off any remaining energy, visit Malvern Splash Leisure Complex, which boasts a swimming pool complete with wave machine, flume and beach.

How to get there

By train: Regular train services run from Bristol Parkway and Birmingham directly to Great Malvern. The journey takes an hour and a half from either direction.
