The famous Blackpool Tower (01253 299 277) includes a circus and spectacular ballroom. A more adrenalin-focused alternative is available at the Pleasure Beach (0870 444 5566), home to the UK's tallest rollercoaster.
For a more sedate experience, visit Blackpool Zoo's (01253 830 830) 1,500 animals, or the Sea Life Centre (01253 622 445), which is also nearby.
Dr Who enthusiasts can visit the museum on the BBC series (01253 299 982) and there are lots of A-listers on show at Louis Tussaud's Waxworks (01253 625 953).
