Activity Ideas: Places to go - New Forest

1 min read
Thinking about taking a youth group for a country break? It's well worth considering the New Forest.

Situated near Southampton and spanning both Dorset and Hampshire, it's great for outdoor activities. There is lots to explore in and around the forest, including miles of traffic-free trails ideal for walkers and cyclists. Bikes can be hired from outlets including CycleXperience (01590 624 204), while horse riding is another popular pursuit.

There are many museums, galleries and gardens to visit including Burley Park (01425 402 559) and the National Motor Museum (01590 614 645).

For those wanting to find out more about the history of the area, the New Forest Centre offers the chance to delve into its traditions and heritage (023 8028 3444).
