4front Awards: Big Ideas

3 mins read

The eight winners of the third Camelot Foundation 4front Awards will receive their prize of 3,000 each this week.

Almost 150 five-minute video applications were received from young people aged 11 to 25 and were whittled down to a short-list of 19. The judging panel of young people then spent a weekend in Edinburgh in October choosing the eight winners.

Susan Elizabeth, director of the Camelot Foundation, says: "This year the judging panel developed four categories: improving my community; arts and music; standing up for my rights; and health and wellbeing."

The judges assessed how much pro-jects would make a difference to young people, the passion and aims behind the idea, communication skills and leadership qualities, and long-term impact.
