
During these difficult times, my heart has been uplifted at the way services across the country have been supporting families. Every day on Twitter we hear about frontline staff who have shown real humanity, and through small and large acts of kindness have made the difference to someone’s life.
Locally, we hear that our health visitors are still providing eight contacts with families, with two of these being face to face; social workers are visiting children who are not presenting at school to ensure they are safe; and schools themselves are going to extreme lengths to provide support to children and families.
