Youth Justice
The chief executive of YWCA, Sarah Payne, has been appointed as chair of the new Reducing Re-offending Third Sector Advisory Group at the Ministry of Justice.

The group will advise Minister of Justice Jack Straw and senior officials on reducing reoffending from a third sector perspective and influence government public service agreements on reducing reoffending.

Members of the group include Paul Cavadino, chief executive of Nacro, Simon Pellow, chief executive of Time for Families and Sean Duggan, director of the Sainsbury Centre for Mental Health.

"The group will be an important part of the government's focus on developing strategies to keep people out of prison," said Payne.

Before joining YWCA, Payne was the Regional Offender Manager for the South East in the National Offender Management Service.
