The walkout by Unite members will take place across the county, including the Prime Minister’s Witney constituency, over plans to cut youth service funding from £3.7m to £1.4m.
The union says the move puts all 80 youth work jobs at risk and will make the council one of the lowest contributors to youth services in England.
The plans will see funding for 26 youth centres cut from next month and replaced with seven hub centres, including one in Witney, as well as six satellite centres. It is expected that volunteer groups will be involved in running centres under this new model.
Mike Beal, chair of Unite’s Community and Youth Worker section in Oxford, said: "Oxfordshire County Council's plans to dismantle its youth service are short-sighted. They will tear apart the youth service at the very time when it is needed most.
"I have spoken to a number of young people who all say that without their local youth club they would be hanging out on street corners. Youth clubs provide safe places for them to go."
Unite balloted local members on 18 July, with the majority (14 to 1) voting in favour of strike action.
