www.greatteachers.org.uk allows family, friends, colleagues and pupils to remember someone who has played a special role in their lives.
It has been launched by the Teacher Support Network and allows users to share memories and photos as well as finding information on bereavement and links to Teacher Support Network's support services.
Christine Blower, acting general secretary of the teaching union the NUT said: "Teachers know that they can have a significant impact on the lives of young people. I would hope everyone would be able to look back and remember a teacher who made a positive difference for them."
The Teacher Support Network is an independent charity dedicated to improving the wellbeing and effectiveness of training, serving and retired teachers.
