TV social work campaign attracts nearly 7,000 enquiries

Social Care
The government's campaign to recruit 5,000 more social workers has already attracted 6,800 enquiries, just a week after it launched.

The high-profile TV and online advertising campaign, called Help Give Them A Voice, features celebrities playing the role of a child or adult in need of a social worker.

Those taking part include Michelle Ryan, Goldie, Joanna Page, Nicholas Hoult and Emilia Fox.

A Department for Children, Schools and Families spokeswoman confirmed that the 6,800 people who had enquired had all requested further information about a career in social work.

The Department of Health is also involved in the recruitment campaign.
