Teacher training providers form partnership

1 min read
Training resource providers Espresso Education and Teachers TV have formed a partnership in order to better provide for the needs of today's teachers.

Espresso Education will continue to provide training resources for more than 10,000 schools but will now supplement this information with videos from Teachers TV, which update teachers on curriculum developments.

Espresso Education's online support network will also include a re-designed "staffroom" where teachers can access Teachers TV resources relating to their subject.

Teachers TV, which has a contract with the Department for Children, Schools and Families, has over 2,400 programmes available on its website and broadcasts on digital satellite and digital cable TV. Espresso Education has direct access to schools and provides information to teachers in the workplace. The two organisations hope that their combined work will enable more teachers to gain easy access to training resources.

Lewis Bronze, chief executive of Espresso Education, said: "Espresso reaches thousands of busy teachers every week, who use our time-saving digital resources in their lessons.  We're delighted to now be bringing them up-to-the minute training and development video clips from Teachers TV.  It's a great extension to our service and will help Teachers TV reach even more teachers directly in schools."
