SEND Summit explores support for children with special educational needs and disabilities

CYP Now is hosting a virtual SEND Summit on the afternoons of 29 and 30 June in which experts will deliver in-depth guidance on the upcoming national review into support for children with special educational needs and disabilities.

With the national review due to be published this summer, experts from across the sector will discuss the key measures and implications for practice during the two-day event. 

The event will also highlight lessons learned during the pandemic and the impact of the crisis on future practice as well as key methods for employing better social, emotional and mental health practice. 

Andre Imich, SEN and disability professional adviser at the Department for Education will deliver the opening keynote talk on current developments in SEND policy including the national review. 

SEND consultant Jane Friswell will deliver a session on meeting Ofsted requirements of SEND support across a range of settings.
