The SEND Summit – which follows last year’s inaugural event held virtually – will look at key measures put forward in the long-awaited review and its impact on frontline practice.
Discussions will also take place on Ofsted’s plans to update the SEND framework, and what inspectors will be looking at as well as the impact of the pandemic on children and young people with SEND, and key priorities to support recovery and renewal.
Sessions focussed on supporting children with autism and disabled children from black and minority ethnic backgrounds also feature in the summit’s extensive programme.
Christine Lenehan, director of the Council for Disabled Children at the National Children’s Bureau, will deliver her keynote speech ‘Delivering the SEND Green Paper: pointers for practice in a changing world’ at the event in London’s Cavendish Conference Centre.
