Robot to deliver young people's messages to MPs

1 min read Youth Work
Volunteering charity V is installing a robot in Parliament to deliver young people's messages to MPs as they return from their summer break.

Young people have been leaving messages, such as "all politicians are corrupt" and "politics is the debate over power not over needs," at V's website for the robot to deliver.

The promotional stunt is part of a V consultation on politics and social issues, called Voicebox.

This has also included a survey of 1,000 young people that has found that only three per cent of young people have ever contacted their MP. The survey also found that seven out of 10 young people did not believe they lived in a fair society and six out of 10 thought the world was becoming a worse place to live.
