Last year, Peterborough was issued with an improvement notice from government after a Care Quality Commission and Ofsted report found that the council’s safeguarding services, ability to keep children safe and assessment work were all inadequate.
But Ofsted’s latest inspection of children’s services at the council, which took place in February, found that the two main problems or "areas for priority action" uncovered last year have now been resolved.
"The council has been effective in recruitment and retention of staff and this continues to improve," the report said. "Capacity and stability of staff have improved significantly within the referral and assessment service and there are now no unallocated cases.
