Parents urged to make voices heard

1 min read Early Years Education
Parents are being encouraged to make their voices heard this week through an online forum and more than 230 events across the UK.

Schools, children's centres and other organisations are holding events including pampering sessions, consultation days and award ceremonies to improve the way they listen to parents.

The events are part of Parents' Week, organised by charity the Family and Parenting Institute. The charity launched an online forum, Family Voice, this week to help parents and grandparents in England make their voices heard. It will use opinions registered on the site to drive lobbying and campaign work.

A spokeswoman for the Family and Parenting Institute said: "We want to get a broad range of people from all around the country and from different backgrounds to register with the site."
