The Parent Champion scheme, which has worked with hundreds of families in Tower Hamlets, helps put families in touch with organisations that can help them access services such as childcare.
In its first two months the scheme reached more than 650 families.
Lee Trapitt, delivery manager at Working Links, said: “By using parents to champion the scheme, the programme proved a real success. It meant we could reach more families because they felt comfortable talking to people who, just like them, had similar experiences.
“We were able to help them get the support they needed, which is why we are now expanding the services into another area.”
