The guidance, launched today (Thursday 18 June) by the regulatory body for youth work in England, has been informed by Public Health England and the Health and Safety Executive and is designed to “complement government guidance in line with public health and safety measures”.

It includes advice to providers on managing risk, social distancing, protecting young people, staff and volunteers who are at high risk from coronavirus, the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and cleanliness.

Organisations are advised to assess which of their services are safe to continue within social distancing guidelines, keep activity times to a minimum and reduce the number of people taking part at any one time.
