The Youth Inclusion Project in Radford, which is run by the Partnership Council charity, produced two magazines named Smart Price and Anything Animation over a 12 week period.
The magazine project was funded by media organisation Mediabox, which brought in an independent panel of media experts to evaluate the publications.
In a statement the panel said: We liked the fact that the young people’s opinions had not been edited and seemed to come straight from them.
All the content was developed and produced by the 8 to 17-year-olds that attend the group. Topics covered included music and views on the local community.
