London boroughs form joint adoption support network

Twenty three London boroughs have joined forces to form the capital’s biggest adoption support network for families struggling with the impact of Covid-19.

Adopt London will offer therapeutic services for adoptive families and those under a special guardianship order, it was announced today (21 May).

The coalition will use part of the £8m national fund invested by the government in a bid to tackle the impact of coronavirus to support as many as 700 families.

The boroughs will receive support from therapeutic adoption agency Adoptionplus, run in partnership with charity Barnardo’s, and England’s largest independent adoption support agency PAC-UK, which is part of Family Action.
