John Lewis Partnership launches range designed by care leavers

The John Lewis Partnership has doubled down on its pledge to support care leavers, launching a new range designed by people with experience of the care system.

Made With Care is The John Lewis Partnership’s new brand which was launched at a celebratory event marking one year of the Partnership’s Building Happier Futures programme which has engaged over 180 care-experienced young people with work experience, resulting in 21 jobs also being offered.

Sharon White, chairman of John Lewis Partnership, told CYP Now: “We want to raise awareness among the public and work with others to find better ways to support care leavers. This forms part of our long-term ambition to become the employer of choice for people who are care experienced - an aspiration that I believe is of utmost importance during a cost-of-living crisis, and at a time when so many businesses are facing significant recruitment challenges.
