Brighter Futures for Children: Fostering Service was launched in March 2019 and is part of Brighter Futures for Children Limited which now delivers provision on behalf of Reading Borough Council.

Ofsted found that the independent fostering agency (IFA) is not yet delivering good help and care for children and young people, however, there were no serious or widespread failures that result in their welfare not being safeguarded or promoted. Inspectors found that most children make positive progress.

"They are healthy and are making progress in their education," the inspection report states.

"They are growing in confidence and maturity and demonstrate improved resilience and self-esteem."
