Director of Harrow's children's services to stand down

The director of Harrow's children's services is to leave the council after more than seven years in the post.

Having agreed to a 10-month handover period, Paul Clark will leave the department next year to pursue his consultancy positions in international development and change management.

Clark said: "I am very proud of the innovative work we have done in Harrow, which has established the borough as a national leader in children's services.

"However I now feel that, having led the department through a series of major reforms, it is time for me to move on to other career challenges.

"I would like to work on areas including international development and change management and, as I approach my 60th birthday, it seems like the right junction to do that."
