The Department for Education has published details of 72 allocations worth just over £50m for the next two years through its voluntary, community and social enterprise sector (VCSE) funding grant programme.
The money is intended to support children, young people, and families with complex and challenging issues.
The National Children’s Bureau (NCB) has received the largest allocation, with funding for three separate projects totalling more than £2.9m from 2013 to 2015.
These will support children in care councils, children with disabilities or special educational needs (SEN) experiencing bullying, and training for providers working with two-year-olds.
Hilary Emery, chief executive of NCB, said the funding provided the organisation with “the opportunity to take forward important work to deliver better outcomes for children and young people”.
