At a meeting at the Local Government Association's National Children and Adult Services Conference this week, hosted by the Local Government Information Unit's Children's Services Network, lead members and directors of children's services were urged to consider using sites such as Facebook, Bebo and MySpace to encourage a wider range of young people to inform services commissioned for them.
Vicky, a 17-year-old young advocate from Norfolk, told delegates: "It is very important that young people are offered a say on services and asked to give feedback. The young people who should be invovled need to be representative of the young people who need to use the service."
