The local authority is being urged by campaigners to amend a motion set to be discussed at a full council meeting on Thursday (24 November).

The initial motion states Nottinghamshire “recognises that care-experienced people face significant barriers that impact them throughout their lives”.

According to the agenda for the full council meeting, councillors will be asked to agree to a motion in which the council pledges to:

Recognise that care-experienced people are a vulnerable group who can face discrimination when making any decisions in relation to policies or formulating a council plan.

Put the needs of vulnerable people at the heart of decision-making through co-production and collaboration.
