Culture secretary “unlocks” £150m fund for charities

Charities supporting young people facing financial hardship and unemployment during the coronavirus crisis will be among those to benefit from a new £150m fund, Culture Secretary Oliver Dowden has announced.

A total of £10m will be handed to the Youth Futures Foundation to help organisations who support unemployed, disadvantaged young people across the country into jobs. The foundation will use the grant to launch an emergency levelling-up youth fund to support young people from hardest hit communities.
