The Department for Education and Skills has set aside an unspecifiedamount of money, which local authorities can bid for. The deadline forapplications is 2 August but not all local authorities will receive theextra funds.
The money will only be handed out to local authorities that can alreadydemonstrate progress in implementing the Common AssessmentFramework.
