Funding to help individual disadvantaged young people aged 14 to 25 in Liverpool have a "once in a lifetime" experience.

What is it?

David Lewis was best known for his retail stores in Manchester and Liverpool in the 19th century. In his will, he left his fortune to be used to benefit the people of the two cities. Today, in addition to running a school and a college, the David Lewis Association has funding available to help individual disadvantaged young people aged 14 to 25 in Liverpool have a "once in a lifetime" experience.

How much is on offer?

Individual young people may apply to the David Lewis Association for modest grants - usually between £100 to £2,000 – but in exceptional circumstances, grants of up to £5,000 may be awarded. Young people must be nominated through a local non-profit organisation and be able to show the personal qualities, drive and vision to succeed in a chosen endeavour related to activities that fulfil a personal ambition.
