What will it fund?
The foundation will make funding available to those working at the forefront of thinking across six areas. This includes backing people with great ideas to support social innovation and who support young people that are experiencing disadvantage. The funding is also for those that widen access and participation in the arts, improve people's education and learning through the arts and develop the evidence base to show the arts can make a difference to people's lives. Those who provide support for young migrants could also benefit from the grant.
How much is on offer?
The £150m scheme will provide £25m a year until 2021 across a range of funds. This includes a Youth Fund, which will provide funding of between £10,000 and £60,000 and intends to help organisations by covering a proportion of core operating costs, and a Growth Fund, which will provide funding and support to help organisations identify and implement practical steps to growth. A total of £4m a year has been set aside for organisations working with marginalised young people.
