Like most youth workers, I am always looking for new resources to use. Well laid-out and with some great illustrations, Positive Images - Positive Effect is a welcome newcomer for more than one reason.

This is definitely a book of two halves. The first half is a selection of challenging activities, which aim to motivate young people and encourage them to work together. With the joint authors' vast experience in the field and their commitment to ensuring activities are accessible to all young people, these 111 variations on seven themes should delight and inspire. And they do - up to a point. Some of the book's impact is spoilt by repetition and I found myself skipping bits to get on to the next good idea.
