Denise Drake looks after the Summer University's online presence.

What do you do?

I manage our two websites, one for Tower Hamlets Summer University (THSU) and another for Summer Uni London. I also deal with our social networking presence. My role is largely to make sure that everything is up to date as we put a lot of information on the web to keep in contact with our co-ordinators. There is a dialogue between myself and the people who work here, so I make sure the website reflects what's going on. I then liaise with our developers to make sure changes are made.

How did you get here?

My background is more in new media than working with young people. I've worked on the web since 2004, initially with the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence and then at the Victoria & Albert Museum. When that contract came to an end, I was interested in working for a charity and the THSU post was advertised.
