The information provided by the publishers suggests this is a book for teenagers who are suffering from obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), which they could use either alone or with a parent. However, upon reading the book one becomes confused about who it is actually aimed at. There is a section for parents at the end of each chapter, but the style of writing and imagery is very simplistic - possibly too simplistic for teenagers and perhaps more suitable for younger children.
The information contained within Breaking Free from OCD is, however, very good and it certainly provides some excellent advice and suggestions for children on how to combat the condition. It would also be a very useful tool for parents of young children with OCD and provides worksheets and exercises for children to complete.
