2 mins read Youth Work
Most young people can't wait to either drive a car or ride a motorbike. It offers them a chance to escape and spend time away from family.

But in the wrong hands, vehicles can be fatal - for both the occupants and other road users. According to road safety charity Brake, one-third of fatal accidents involve people under 25, yet less than 14 per cent of this age group have a car licence.

Chris Lee is development manager at Havering Motorvations, an alternative education provider that works with teenagers aged 13 to 17. He believes motor projects work particularly well with "at risk" young people as they help them to gain skills and qualifications.
