Originally established as The Northumberland Association of Boys Clubs, the organisation’s mission in its early days was to provide safe, structured spaces for young boys in the region. Over the decades, NE Youth has adapted to changing societal needs and now offers inclusive services to all young people. The organisation provides open-access youth provisions in local communities as well as targeted programmes designed to meet the unique challenges faced by young individuals today.
In its 90-year history, NE Youth has worked with well over one million young peoplea milestone that underscores its longstanding impact and the dedication of its staff, volunteers, and supporters. Through the Second World War, recessions, Covid and the cost of living crisis they strived to provide safe spaces for young people whether that be through a youth club, in school and online.
