Strengthening Families, Strengthening Communities (SFSC) is an evidence-based programme which delivers culturally aware support for parents and carers in various areas of the UK, including the London borough of Wandsworth.

Delivered by the council's LINKS service, the programme empowers families to make changes to reduce risks for young people and improve parent wellbeing, and has been praised for delivering positive outcomes (see graphics).

The SFSC programme is designed to support parents and carers of all backgrounds with children under the age of 18. It delivers supportive group sessions, grounded in relevant social and cultural contexts, to help parents and carers understand what influences children and young people's behaviour at different developmental stages, offers strategies to support children's wellbeing and improve family relationships, and provides practical advice on what families can do to address risky behaviours.
