ACTION
A multi-disciplinary, multi-agency project is improving outcomes for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in Rochdale and transforming expectations of what services can achieve.
Raising Rochdale, a five-year plan jointly launched last year by Rochdale Borough Council and health, education and voluntary sector leaders, aims to support every child and young person with or without a SEND diagnosis.
The strategy sets out a number of key aims that it hopes will make Rochdale “a great place for all to grow up, get on and live well”. These include putting children and families at the “heart of decision-making” and that all organisations in Rochdale will work together.
