YOT manager accused of young offender topless photo shoots

A youth offending team (YOT) manager faces being struck off after allegedly persuading young female offenders to pose for topless photographs.

It is claimed Christopher Hardman used his position to obtain the contact details of three women who he convinced to take part in photo shoots.

It is also alleged he attempted to get a further three women to take part in lingerie, topless or nude photo shoots.

Hardman was employed by Kirklees Council between 2003 and March 2007 as a team manager within the youth offending team.

The official allegation papers also claim Hardman accepted a formal caution for possession of cannabis in February 2006.

The allegations will be considered by the General Social Care Council at a four-day hearing beginning on 4 August.

A spokesman for Kirklees Council said Hardman left the council's employment in March 2007 but declined to comment further.
