The National Youth Agency: TV dance star aims to get youth clubsdancing

A keen advocate of health and activity, Dallerup is urging the Government to introduce dance into schools and she's looking for the help and support of youth workers and young people. Not only that, Dallerup would like to overturn the stereotype that dance is just for girls. She said: "To lift female dancers, the male partner needs to have huge strength and a good lung capacity, and that also means dancers don't smoke. Smoking is a dirty habit and kills us in the end, so I am all for any activity for youth that encourages fitness and activity, while also discouraging smoking. Dancing can be physically tough, especially for the guys, so if anyone thinks dance is for wimps they are so wrong."
