There are numerous studies showing how events like floods, fires, drought and harm to animals as a result of habitat destruction are affecting the mental health of young people, who now face even more uncertainty about their future because of the pandemic.

I would introduce more selective state schools into the education system. It is clear from the few remaining grammar schools that at GCSE and A-Level, selective state schools far outperform their non-selective counterparts.

I would swap the roles of teacher and student. Pupils could see and understand how much pressure and stress teachers are under and it would also remind teachers how stressful and hard it is to be a student.

I think the best way to get a child into books is to encourage them from an early age. In primary schools or even nurseries there can be a book that should be read every week to the children at home; the book would then be followed up in class. I didn't notice anything was wrong until February 2010, when I found a lump under my arm. I wasn't concerned, even though I had lost weight and felt tired. My GP told me I was just a tired teenager.

I first started the Fun and Friendship project in September 2009, but it wasn't until January 2010 that I received Children in Need funding for three years. The work I did during the project included a variety of media activities, such as video and film production, radio, music technology and animation.

I did not like school very much. For some reason, I had to work harder than everyone in my class. I had some tests and I found out that I am dyslexic. I did not really understand what that meant.
