The Jon Egging Trust (JET) has signed the Armed Forces Covenant, which is a formal commitment created more than a decade ago for organisations with links to the armed forces.
Through the agreement the Trust pledges to support “the armed forces community and its veterans” and cements existing links between the RAF and the charity’s work supporting young people.
Emma Egging, who set up the charity in 2011 following the death of her husband Red Arrows pilot Jon Egging, said the agreement is “hugely symbolic” due to the charity’s links with the RAF.
This includes working across 25 military bases supporting 35,000 young people through its Blue Skies confidence building programme, that also involves schools and other youth organisations.
