As latest research from Coram Family and Childcare warns that just a quarter of local authorities have enough childcare for all full-time working parents over the summer holidays, CYP Now looks at programmes available to support struggling families.

Coram's research adds that the proportion of councils with enough childcare for disabled children is just five per cent.

Meanwhile, Barnardo’s has warned that some children most at risk of exploitation are “invisible” to support services during school holidays.

Amid increased living costs, holiday food and activities programmes are essential to providing meals and wraparound childcare for the most disadvantaged families.
