The Outcomes First Group (OFG), which was acquired by private equity fund Sterling Square in 2019, has been bought between private equity fund The Rise Fund and investment manager Investcorp.

As of 31 March, OFG was the fourth largest provider of private children’s home places in England and Wales, offering 273 places across 61 children’s homes.

It also runs 56 special schools that serve more than 3,000 students with special educational needs and disabilities aged between three and 25 years of age.

In May CYP Now revealed plans for OFG to close a number of children’s homes in England and Wales linked to “sector-wide recruitment challenges”.
