Children & Young People Now is calling on youth project managers to take part in an important study looking at how their work is bearing up in the tough economic climate.
In light of continued pressure on public finances, CYP Now has prepared a short survey to gauge the impact of austerity on youth clubs, groups and projects in communities throughout England and Wales.
The Temperature of the Sector Survey will examine how funding is faring and, where it is falling, shine a light on the kind of tough decisions being taken at a local level to ensure projects remain open to young people.
It also aims to garner views on central government’s attitude towards youth work in light of Education Secretary Michael Gove’s assertion that youth policy is not a priority for central government.
The survey only takes a couple of minutes to complete and can be accessed here.
All responses will be treated as anonymous and in complete confidence. The deadline to take part is 5pm on Thursday 3 April.
