More than a year after the world's leading economies faced the prospect of economic meltdown, the children's and young people's sector is now experiencing the fallout.
Government ministers and leading figures in the sector have spoken of increasing pressure on budgets but despite the talk of efficiency savings, it remains unclear exactly where the axe will fall or what the implications will be.
In light of the potential impact across the country, CYP Now has prepared a survey to try and gauge sentiment and highlight areas of work that might be particularly vulnerable.
CYP Now editor Ravi Chandiramani said: "There's no shortage of speculation and conjecture about the effects of the recession on services for children and young people. But we want to hold up a mirror to the entire sector to see the big picture and gauge the real impact on the ground. All responses will of course be treated as anonymous and in complete confidence."
