Two social workers involved in the case of Baby Peter are set to face disciplinary proceedings next week.

Maria Ward, Baby Peter's social worker and Gillian Christou, Ward's team manager, will both face allegations of misconduct on Monday 24 May.

Christou is accused of failing to keep records of supervision meetings up to date, failing to document evidence for a risk management plan and failing to ensure a child protection plan was followed.

Ward is accused of failing to follow a child protection plan and failing to keep records of visits up to date. The pair were sacked by Haringey Council last year.

Four days have been set aside for the General Social Care Council hearing.
