NCB Now: I Can's Chatterbox Challenge

1 min read
Next week will see nurseries, children's groups and childminding groups up and down the country taking part in the 11th Chatterbox Challenge week (1-7 February).

I Can's Chatterbox Challenge is an annual educational and fundraising event, where children aged from birth to five have a great time developing their communication skills by practising songs and rhymes and then performing them in front of family and friends at a Chatterbox Challenge event. Groups are encouraged to fundraise for their challenge to raise money for I Can's work with the million children in the UK who struggle with speech, language and communication.

To get children "communication-fit" for other exciting events this summer, this year's songs and activities are on the theme of "Kids In Motion: Get Active and Make Chatter Matter". This year promises to be a special and active challenge, with favourite songs with actions including Row, Row, Row Your Boat and Here We Go Round the Mulberry Bush.

It is not too late to register online for this year's Chatterbox Challenge, please go to www.chatterboxchallenge.co.uk
