Two youth workers have started accompanying young people on selected school buses in the afternoons and there are plans to extend the practice across the town.
The youth workers distribute information leaflets about the 60 projects that Swindon Youth Service runs.
Youth development worker Huw Solly, who came up with the idea, said: "Attendance at our projects is good but a lot of young people still don't even know the youth service exists so this is a way of informing them about what we do. It's also a good way of asking young people about their wants and needs."
Solly said attendance was already slightly up at clubs.
