The Votes at 16 Coalition has calculated that almost 900,000 16- and 17-year-olds were denied the opportunity to vote in last week's local and London Mayoral and Assembly elections. The coalition said that in London alone there are nearly 170,000 16- and 17-year-olds who were unable to vote for the new Mayor of London or members of the London Assembly. www.votesat16.org.uk.
